Ever since the vincentjacobs.com domain dropped in 2008 (the previous owner was a photographer by the same name who let it expire), I’ve hosted the same landing page with my CV and links to my online profiles. Five years later, it’s finally time to make a change and try to become part of the 1% who create content.
This blog is generated by Jekyll using the Up layout by Carlos Becker (creating my own design is next on my list). The site is hosted on S3 with Route 53 for DNS. The Jekyll documentation and Jekyll-Bootstrap guide provide everything you need to get started blogging like a hacker and the AWS Documentation provides a great guide on how to host static pages on S3 using a custom domain, for pennies a month.
This site is also running CrowdProcess, turning the internet into a supercomputer.Tweet
